Fire Warden Training Courses

Locally based company utilising trainers who have over thirty years of fire service experience and are Qualsafe affiliated. The course ensures that your company is fully compliant with “The Fire Regulatory Reform Act 2005”. And the ‘’Employees Capabilities REGS 2010’’.

The training which covers both theoretical and practical, can be delivered at your premises to reduce staff being away from work longer than necessary. We conduct two courses, course one covers the role of the fire warden/marshal, course two covers the role of the fire warden/marshal with practical fire extinguisher usage. The practical fire extinguisher element allows delegates to use fire extinguishers in real fire conditions.  Using the latest environmentally friendly clean burn fire simulators to totally enhance the experience.

The role of the fire marshal/warden
Fire safety legislation
The chemistry of fire
Action on discovering a fire
Liaison with the fire service
Common causes of fire
Fire safety precautions
Fire drills and evacuation
Human behaviour
Theoretical use of fire extinguishers
Practical fire extinguisher techniques and usage (course 2)

Course Costs

Course 1 £400.00 inclusive up to 10 delegates fire warden/marshal (3 hours)
Course 2 £500.00 inclusive up to 10 delegates fire warden/marshal including practical extinguisher use (3 hours and 30 minutes)

QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF)

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification allows Learners to build an understanding of fire safety management and the specific roles and responsibilities related to fire safety in the workplace.

Intended Audience

The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF) qualification has been designed for anyone who has a specific responsibility for fire safety in the workplace, such as designated fire wardens/fire marshals.

Course Overview

During this 1-day course, Learners will develop their knowledge and skills in fire safety, including: how fires are caused, the risks associated with fire, principles of fire safety management at work, understanding the role of a fire warden and more. Qualsafe Awards is one of the largest Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisations in the UK and has been shortlisted for the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) Awarding Organisation of the Year Award in both 2015 & 2016. We are currently in the process of becoming a Qualsafe training centre. All our courses and instructional staff are Qualsafe affiliated. Our course comes with handouts and a certificate on completion.
